I was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Texas (though, people often joke that I shouldn’t mention that first part). After graduating from the University of North Texas in 2014, I met my husband in our college town and never left. I finished my master’s degree from Northeastern University in 2017 and continued my career in the nonprofit sector. After working for the largest humanitarian relief organization in the country, I made the jump the social good space within the private sector, and haven’t left since.
In late 2018, my husband and I made the decision to adopt our first child (by choice), and I began this blog as an outlet, resource, and guide for myself and others navigating the complex world of international adoption. Now, I want this blog to serve as a place to discuss all of the things that are important to me, in an effort to support and inspire others.
My hope is that you’ll find something here that resonates with you, and that (maybe) we can become friends. Please feel free to email me at any time. Thank you for reading my blog.
